Internationaal Film Festival Assen
On Thursday, March 7, 2024, was the 44th edition of the Assen International Film Festival | Woman & Film. Host Milou Deelen opened the evening and Renée Soutendijk received the IFA Trophy. This year the prize was presented by director Nouchka van Brakel, who herself received the IFA Trophy in 1998. The opening film of IFA 2024 is the Lithuanian Slow (Marija Kavtaradzė, 2023).
Program of the evening
From 7:30 PM, visitors were welcome to come to the official opening in DNK. There was coffee and tea are available in the foyer. The program started at 8:00 PM in room 1, immediately followed by the opening film. The evening was hosted by Milou Deelen. After the film, DJ Jollyfish kicked off the festival weekend with African electronic music mixes with the genres amapiano, afrobeats & afro house.
